The main bank near the central ticket office is one of the largest single locker installations in Japan: roughly 130 small, 163 medium and 160 large units. Of those, a substantial share are IC-card only and accept every transit IC card except PiTaPa; the rest take coins and ¥1,000 notes.
Prices are about ¥300 to ¥400 small, ¥500 medium and ¥700 large, and the bank is usable from around 04:40 until after one in the morning.
JR West also runs time-based lockers here where the first two hours cost only ¥100, ¥200 or ¥300 by size — much cheaper than a full day if you are only going shopping.

If the lockers are full
- The Umeda underground is full of ecbo cloak partner shops, and booking one avoids the walk between banks entirely.
- Hankyu and Hanshin Umeda stations have their own lockers a few minutes away, and they fill later than the JR ones.
