Shin-Osaka has around thirteen locker locations and roughly nine hundred lockers. The JR-managed banks are the cheapest in the station at about ¥400, ¥500 and ¥700 for small, medium and large; other operators in the same building run higher.
This is a Shinkansen transfer station, so lockers empty and fill in waves around train departures rather than steadily through the day.
Payment is cash plus Suica and ICOCA at most banks.

If the lockers are full
- A staffed luggage room on the second floor inside the station takes oversized cases, strollers and instruments, which lockers cannot.
- The Crosta Shin-Osaka counter on the first floor outside the gates holds bags for up to fifteen days — useful if you are looping back through Osaka.
- Osaka Station, ten minutes away, has a far bigger locker bank and time-based cheap rates.
