Coin lockers at Tokyo Station
Tokyo — Marunouchi and Yaesu
Tokyo Station has over a hundred locker banks, and the largest of them — the Gransta area on B1 inside the gates — holds more than nine hundred lockers on its own. Other big banks sit at the Yaesu North gate, the Marunouchi underground central and north passages, and along the Keiyo line corridor, which is a long walk from the Shinkansen but almost always has space.
JR East prices run roughly ¥300 for the smallest slot, ¥500 for a small, ¥700 to ¥800 for a medium and ¥900 to ¥1,000 for a large, and the operator adds ¥100 to ¥200 to the medium and large classes in peak seasons. Lockers here take cash and transit IC cards; the newer cashless cabinets take IC and QR only.
The station is big enough that "the lockers are full" almost never means every bank is full. If the ones by the Shinkansen gates are taken, walk towards the Keiyo line or out to the Marunouchi side before giving up.

If the lockers are full
- The staffed baggage room inside the gates at the Marunouchi South gate takes any size for a flat fee per day, roughly ¥800, and opens from mid-morning to evening.

- A Yamato counter can send the case on to your next hotel; nothing you leave behind has to be collected again.
